Joseph Lombardo attorneyMr. Lombardo is a seasoned litigator and lifelong New Jersey resident of South Jersey.  His father is a retired New Jersey State Trooper and his mother, was a well accomplished woman, who earned her bachelor’s degree in history later in life, and who also volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, cub scout mom and loved to sing.  Mr. Lombardo, who was born in Philadelphia in 1965 and raised in Southern New Jersey, earned his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1993 and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the Richard Stockton College of New (Stockton University) Jersey in 1988.  Mr. Lombardo was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1993. Mr. Lombardo is also admitted to practice before the Courts of Washington D.C. and the New Jersey Federal District Court.

Mr. Lombardo’s broad areas of legal experience throughout his legal career range from civil and criminal trial practice,  to now serving a Early Matrimonial Settlement Panelist in the New Jersey Superior Court, Family Part, to assist in resolving divorce cases.   During Mr. Lombardo’s long career, he has gained favorable outcomes for clients in every county in Southern New Jersey, including cases involving divorce, custody, domestic violence, traffic and DWI matters, criminal hearings and appeals, and personal injury representation, where he has recovered millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.

Since 2011, Mr. Lombardo has successfully managed and grown the Lombardo Law Group, to include experienced and capable, Of Counsel Attorneys, who provide clients the benefit of decades of combined experience and expertise in all fields of law handled by the Firm. While the Lombardo Law Group continues to excel in the representation of persons in serious personal injury and work accidents, Mr. Lombardo’s mainly concentrates in Family law including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, along with significant criminal defenses, in the Superior and Municipal Court, which includes defense of all significant traffic matters such as DWI/DUI in all Municipal Courts in Southern New Jersey.

Points of Distinction:

During undergrad, Mr. Lombardo Interned in Washington D. C,  for the United States United States Senator Bill Bradley during his senior college year.  Following college, Mr. Lombardo worked in the New Jersey State Legislature as an Aide to a prominent Atlantic County New Jersey State Senator William L. Gormley  and later served as an Aide Senator Gormley’s Gubernatorial Campaign for New Jersey Governor.  Mr. Lombardo went on to serve as Aide the Governor of New Jersey Thomas H. Kane, working out of the Governor’s South Jersey Office in Camden. During law school, Mr. Lombardo served as a Law Clerk Extern in Atlantic County for the Honorable L. Anthony Gibson, J.S.C. (Ret.) and as an Associate in private law practice to the now retired New Jersey Superior Court Judge Michael A. Donio, J.S.C (Ret.)

Previous Work:

During his over 30 years of practicing law, Mr. Lombardo has served as a Municipal Court Prosecutor, criminal and civil trial attorney, settlement panelist for New Jersey Superior Court, Family Part and has thousands of matters through trial, arbitration, mediation plea bargaining and settlement.

Personal Life & Activities:

Mr. Lombardo grew up in the great Atlantic County Town of Hammonton New Jersey, (Blue Berry Capitol of the World,) where,  as a young man, he worked on both a produce and blue berry farm.  Working on the farms is where he likes to share the story how he learned to drive a stick stiff and to love pickup trucks. Mr. Lombardo continues to maintain both his professional and personal relationships, with many long-standing friends and colleagues from his youth and time in Hammonton.

Mr. Lombardo currently calls home the historic Borough of Haddonfield, in Camden County, where he  resides with his Wife, Stacy, their two young boys and several rescued pets (dogs and cats).  Having come to fall in love with the Borough, for its rich American history, historic architecture, artistic culture and its vibrant community spirit, Mr. Lombardo chose to open the location of the Lombardo Law Group in Haddonfield as its main office.

Mr. Lombardo values his community involvement.  Having excelled as a baseball player in his youth, and he now shares both his continue love and knowledge of the game, by serving as a volunteer coach for the Haddonfield Baseball League, where his coaches a youth team and assists in running the seasonal youth clinic to teach baseball skills to new players. He also serves the league as a Board Member, Division Vice President and Safety Officer.

Another great passion for Mr. Lombardo, is music. Inspired by his late mother, who played piano and love to sing, Mr. Lombardo is an aspiring guitarist singer/song writer in the South Jersey Music Community. Mr. Lombardo frequently performs his music publicly, as his passion to write and perform his original songs continues. If there is a local open mic, you are very likely to catch Mr. Lombardo performing with his fellow artists and friends.
